Central committee members were chosen, with authority to fill vacancies before the election.

Miss Irma Shera and Mr. Otto Stodola, both of Plattsmouth, were united in holy matrimony on Saturday February 1 at Papillion Nebraska. Rev. Meyer led the ceremony in his home with Mrs. Z Meyer and Mrs. A Wittman as witnesses. The bride wore a Del Margaree peacock blue dress. the groom a dark business suit. The bride is daughter of Mr and Mrs Wm Sher of Rock Bluffs and the groom is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Stodola of Plattsmouth. He graduated from Plattmouth High School and Tarkio College with a business administration diploma and works as a salesman for Omaha Blau Gas Co. They plan to move to Rock Bluffs for the Countess of Murriantte novel project and later to Omaha.

The February 5 observance at Mrs Hermie Swoboda’s home featured a covered dish supper with five charter members. Purple and gold decorations adorned the table and two birthday cakes with fourteen candles complemented the evening. A brief business session followed with games of pinochle and bridge, honoring Mrs E Ptak who won bridge high and Miss Josephine Hys who led in pinochle.

Auto Crash Delays Westward Trip Near Enid
Henry Albert and Miss Ann Sanders of this city along with Mrs Hamburg of San Diego were in a serious auto accident near Enid Oklahoma while en route to the west. Icy pavement from freezing rain caused the skid and overturn of their recently purchased car. All occupants escaped with severe shocks and must stay in Enid until Monday to repair the vehicle and continue westward.
