Cass County Nebrads officials propose a 12000 dollar bond issue to build a county jail in Plattsmouth. The measure asks voters to authorize a one year special tax to fund the jail project, with a April 8, 1913 election date and explicit ballot wording for and against the proposal.
In Greenwood a petition to sell the real estate of Elizabeth Mare and her husband, who died 1912, seeks sale of the remaining estate and division among heirs led by John W. Barr Roy A. Tan Walter B. Barr and others with Josie Barr as co heirs The petition names multiple defendants and outlines widow Josie Barr’s election to take her law allotted share.
Rev Dunkleberger of the Christian Church will lecture next Monday evening at 8 o clock in the Methodist church rooms. The Young Men's Bible class invites all city young men to attend. The talk titled A Dead Boy Brought to Life promises to be one of the season’s best lectures.
A suit to quiet title was filed in district court yesterday in Simon Cruber v Haltie Barnum Wills et al. The plaintiff has held possession for ten years and seeks to invalidate transfers from years past and receive clear title to the land. The property is located near the village of Union.

Friends in this city were shocked by the death of J. Eikenbary the former Cass County deputy sheriff who died after a fall at the Lincoln Traction Company power plant while showing his grandson through the plant. He served as sheriff of Cass County and spent years in public service. Funeral services will be held Sunday at the Methodist church with interment at Horning Cemetery.
The Cass County judge issued marriage licenses this morning as February records rose with two new couples. John Van River of Davenport Nebraska and Lucy M Sack of Eagle Nebraska wed. Louis Steinhow of Syracuse Nebraska and Sophia Maria Ehlers of Avoca Nebraska also received licenses.
