Mrs. Christine Burr funeral held Saturday at 2:30 from sister Mrs. J W Werga’s home. She died in Chicago and lay in state before burial in Oak Hill cemetery. Rev H G McClusky officiated with a male quartet. pallbearers named from local friends. Survived by four children, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters and several brothers.

Yesterday James W. Holmes departed for Omaha and entered the Methodist hospital there for an operation planned today if his condition permits. He has not been in good health for some time and the procedure is hoped to restore his health.

The restaurant run by Mr and Mrs A M Woodburn in the Hotel Main basement was sold Saturday afternoon to Emil Bunn of Nemaha Nebraska who will take immediate possession and run the popular eating house. The Woodburns plan to remain in the city and home here. Bunn comes highly recommended as a restaurant man and will be warmly welcomed by locals.

Frederick J Fornoff Dies at 59 in Cass County
Frederick Jacob Fornoff a longtime Cass County resident died at his West Granite Street home after several days of illness due to a lingering internal infection. He was born October 15 1869 near Pekin Illinois and lived in Cedar Creek before moving to Plattsmouth. Surviving are his wife Veronica and five sisters plus three brothers, with many nieces and nephews.

Auto Wreck Near Missouri Valley Injures Three
Sunday night Edward Mullen returning to Missouri Valley Iowa with John Newton collided with a parked Ford car in heavy rain. The Ford occupants were bruised and hospitalized while Mullen and Newton sustained only minor injuries. The Pontiac suffered extensive damage.

Mrs Bert Donaldson aged 28 died at 3 42 AM in St Catherine s hospital Omaha from double pneumonia after gall stones and a recent appendicitis operation. She lived in Plattsmouth two years with husband and daughter Phyllis surviving along with her father Ben Parker and several siblings. She was a Christian church member active in local church affairs.

James C. Harris auditor of Exchange National Bank Spokane was badly hurt in an auto accident near Spokane last Thursday. He suffered a skull fracture and was in serious condition for a time. His father County Commissioner C F Harris hurried to Spokane after the first report, but a later message from Omaha said the son was not fatally injured.

Returns From Hospital In Omaha
Herman Hough of this city has recovered enough from a recent illness to be brought home from the Omaha hospital Sunday evening by Mrs. Hough. He rallied after a serious period and friends in the county are glad to hear he is improving and should resume his former health after weeks of rest. Mrs. Hough had been with him in Omaha and now remains at home with their family.
