Elmwood High fought hard against neighboring Beams in a cold night game at the German Home. After a 31 to 3 first half deficit, Elmwood narrowed the gap but finished 51 to 21 in favor of the visitors as Beams capitalized on their stronger form and Elmwood's lack of practice space.

Mr Adonal, a well liked and cheerful citizen, died suddenly in Eagle Nebraska after a brief illness. The 79 year old had spent many years in Badie and was remembered by friends as kind and fond of children. His daughter and nephew arrived to arrange the funeral as the community gathered for the wake and funeral proceedings.
