Lora Davis Old Time Resident Called to Rest
Lora Davis 80, long time Plattsmouth resident, died Sunday morning February 1 at the home of his niece Miss Ella Kennedy after a years long illness. Born August 8 1850 in Coshocton Ohio he lived in Knoxville Iowa before moving to Plattsmouth in 1867. He worked for the Burlington in local shops, spent thirty years in railroading and mining Cripple Creek Colorado, returned to Plattsmouth in 1920 and resided with his twin sister Mrs Laura Peterson and later with Miss Kennedy. Funeral services were held at 2 30 at Miss Kennedys Locust street home, Rev Co O Troy officiating, burial at Oak Hill cemetery beside his parents. Pallbearers were Frank A Cloidt J W Crabill Mike Tritsch Jess F Varga E H Wescott and Will T Adams.

Auto Burns Up Near La Platte on Omaha Trip

Runaway Fremont Boys Picked Up by City Officers
Officers Pickrell and Libershall found three boys aged 14 to 16 shivering on downtown streets and jailed them for the night. Youth arrested in derailment attempt near Council Bluffs
William Goodrow, 18, of 1609 Avenue N, Council Bluffs, IA, was arrested for the alleged attempted derailment of a Missouri Pacific train in the city.
