January disbursements from the Community Building club treasury totaled $61.45 for 35 pairs of new shoes and overshoes from H M Soennichsen and Fetzer Shoe Co. Remaining $9.75 paid to Klerman Reichstadt for repair of 14 pairs. 67 pupils ages primary to junior high benefited, including 11 receiving two pairs. The shoe program will continue through winter with public cooperation urged to keep costs under $2100 allotted.

Boy Injured In Saturday Coasting Collision
John Howard Johnson, a first name listed as a year old son of Dr. and Mrs. A E Johnson, was badly bruised and knocked unconscious when a sled collided with a passing car at Granite Street and Lincoln Avenue. Ben Schwartz, driving north, slowed as the sled struck the front wheel, throwing the boy, who was treated at home by the driver and is now recovering. Schwartz bore no fault in the accident.

Mrs. T W Vallery 76 died Sunday night at her Mynard home after a month of declining health. Born in 1860 to the Cook family in Cass County, she married Theobald W Vallery in 1880 and lived near Murray before retiring to Mynard. Survived by husband three sons Frank E Vallery and Charles Vallery and Gien Vallery, two daughters Mrs Wade Porter and Mrs Owen Willis, plus siblings C E Cook Mrs S C Cole and Joseph Cook.
