Thomas Wilde Dies in Shenandoah After Long Burlington Career
News from Shenandoah Pennsylvania reports the death of Thomas Wilde. He had lived in Plattsmouth for twenty two years working for the Burlington and rose to stockman in Storekeeper and's department before ill health forced retirement. A member of the Masonic, A O U W and Woodmen Judges fraternal orders, Wilde was a trusted, kind man whose many acts of kindness endeared him to friends. Peace to his ashes.

The Plattsmouth Turners held their annual meeting last Sunday electing Emil Wurl as president and Philip Thierolf as vice president. J P Faler was chosen corresponding secretary and Rudolph Ramsel recording secretary with George Weidman financial secretary and Fred Ebinger treasurer. Ernest Wurl and Robert Richter became class leaders while Charles Wilkins was named preety man. George Tartsch and Otto Wurl were elected delegates to the district Missouri Valley Turn Verein convention in Fremont on January 18.

Court Rules Body May Be Moved From Lincoln Cemetery
The Nebraska Blizzard reports the Nebraska supreme court ordered the removal of Edward Cagney’s body from Cavalry cemetery in Lincoln. Bishop Bonacum opposed the move, but the ruling favors David McEnntee and Mrs. Catherine Cagney who want burial in the Plattsmouth family lot.

Former Cass County Man Henry Pierson Dies After Shooting
Henry Pierson formerly of Cass county was fatally shot at his Guthrie Oklahoma home by his hired man during a burglar intrusion. Pierson died about two weeks later from complications though the wound was not considered immediately dangerous. He had moved from Cass county years earlier and owned 160 acres where he lived.
