Democrats plan a Tuesday convention at Elmwood to select the county ticket for upcoming elections. Delegates from the county party will assemble to choose candidates and set platforms ahead of the fall campaign.
The Democratic Central Committee met at D O Dwyer’s office to set time and place for the county convention to nominate candidates for November. Elmwood won the bid to host, and Tuesday September 14 was set as the convention date by unanimous vote. M A Bates named chair and H R Gering secretary.
While returning home Thursday night the Hild family were struck by another vehicle near the business district. The impact overturned their spring wagon and spilled the passengers. The other driver did not stop to check on any injuries, according to witnesses.
Sometime last evening a thief entered the home of A. Dill through a window and stole $12.00 to $15.00 from his trousers left on a chair. The thief left the trousers in the yard and disappeared before morning. police have no lead yet.
Lincoln News reports a Nebraska supreme court dispute over the Yoesel Rieger estate. Daniel Rieger married Catherine Elizabeth and Christina Yoesel, all sisters, creating complex claims by Catherine’s three minor children to one seventh of the 150 acre Yoesel homestead in Richardson County. The case hinges on whether Christina Rieger’s infant daughter and later Daniel Rieger’s death shifted the line of descent or if the will governs the estate succession.

A county court final hearing on the R. W. Swear ingen estate shows administrator Miles Standish will pay about 5 percent on all claims. The report credits Mr Standish for the improved prospects, contrary to expectations. The notice advises calling J P Faster about affordable farms before purchase.
A thirty year North Platte resident mocks the town as infested with gossipers. He compares gossip to a hummingbird with eagle wings and a fog horn voice, claiming it causes more trouble than pests and natural disasters combined. He warns the universe will end with a final invoice.
Guy D. McMahen and Minnie A. Peterson wed at St Luke's Church with Canon Burgess officiating on August 28 1905. The bride wore white with a bridesmaid Sophia Peterson and best man Don York. A reception followed at the bride’s home with guests from Plattsmouth and surrounding towns. The Journal notes many friends gave subscriptions and祝 wishes for a long prosperous life together.
