Death of Miss Gertrude Morgan in California

Ice truck demolished by train at Fort Crook crossing
A four ton ice truck stalled on a railway crossing west of Fort Crook entrance gates was struck by a northbound Missouri Pacific train at 7 am. The truck was demolished and ice chunks flew onto passenger coach roofs. Driver Pharis Shriver of Bellevue sought help from two mechanics who tried to flag the train but no injuries occurred.

Prisoner Taken to Face Auto Theft Charge
