Counties to Buy Bridge from King of Trails Company
The King of Trails Bridge company will retire from the toll bridge over the Platte north of the city and transfer ownership to the State of Nebraska and Cass and Sarpy counties. The counties will fund half the roughly sixty thousand dollar purchase price by toll collection, with tolls later freed for the public as the remaining balance is paid. Public Works will extend gravel from Plattsmouth to the bridge and from Fort Crook to the north end, linking to Sioux City via the Washington Highway, with major road work planned for Cass county.

Have Baby Girl Born to Heneger Family at Veteran
Word from Veteran Wyoming announced the birth of a daughter to Mr and Mrs Heneger on March 24 named Suzanne Rachel. The family also notes Harve Heneger will patrol the irrigation canal this summer and recently was elected commander of the Veterans Legion post which is nearing payoff on a community building and purchasing a new piano.

Mrs. L. E. Vroman was taken to the University hospital in Omaha for treatment possibly including an operation. She has been ill for two months, largely bedridden, causing family worry. A granddaughter of Mrs. Vroman, child of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Atteberry, is also at the same hospital after an operation.

Dr Patrick J Flynn died at his family home from pernicious anemia after a several month illness. Born May 2 1874 in Neola Iowa he studied at Creighton University and practiced in O Neill Nebraska before moving to Plattsmouth ten years ago. Survived by wife Theresa Sullivan and four children Allison Damian Catherine and Patricia plus three brothers and five sisters. Body moved to Omaha for viewing at John A Gentlemen funeral home.

Stolen Hudson Found By Union Harbor Call
A late Saturday night or early Sunday incident near Union led to a tow to A. W. Propst harbor after Dale Porter and others investigated a Hudson coach that would not start. Wardens were alerted and traced the theft to Lincoln sheriff after reports tied the car to a Northward escape. The vehicle remained at Union until its owner claimed it.

Damage Suits Transferred For Trial In District Court
Several damage suits involving the Missouri Pacific Railway Co and other defendants were moved to federal court and then returned to Cass County District Court for trial.
