Two Murray Men Struck by M P Train Waiting Crossing Calamity
A truckload of hogs enroute to Nebraska City collided with a southbound Missouri Pacific train at Graham mill crossing near Nebraska City. Robert Good and Omar K Yardley of Murray were injured. Good suffered multiple leg fractures and head wounds, Yardley had a mashed calf but no broken bones. The crossing is noted as highly dangerous and the train stopped after the, accident. Good was taken to Nebraska City hospital for treatment while doctors assess the full extent of injuries.

Free Platte River Bridge Blocker Causes Federal Road Delay

Patterson Shows Improvement After Farm Accident
Robert Patterson who was severely injured Wednesday at the W. D. Wheeler farm south of the city and taken to Wise Memorial hospital in Omaha the same evening is reported as showing some improvement. He regained consciousness last evening and is believed to have a skull fracture though the severity is not yet determined. Initial fears of a backbone fracture were not confirmed. Access to the patient remains limited to surgeons and nurses, with family members staying nearby.

Dies Serving Company Worker Fatally Injured

In district court Harry Dale Snethen was sentenced for bigamy after already having a wife, Nellie May Deuel, in Hot Springs SD. He had remarried in 1920 to Esther M. Nord in this county, leaving Nord unaware of the prior marriage. Snethen, about 38, faced one to seven years in the state prison. He was remanded to Sheriff Quinton.
