First baby born at Plano General Hospital
Kimberly Marie Shelden, weighing eight pounds seven ounces and 19 inches long, was welcomed as Plano General Hospital’s first baby at 5.45 p.m. Tuesday. Her parents are Stan and Mrs. Shelden of Plano. The hospital reported gift cart donations from more than 20 Plano merchants and noted the first patient, Verlinda Darity, 19, from Plano, admitted at 10 a.m. Monday as the institution opened.
