The Dallas County Medical Examiner ruled death a suicide by gunshot from a 22 caliber revolver found near the body of Douglas Robert Kramer 14. He had been missing from his Plano home since February 13 and left unhappy about the move from Ohio. Police investigated a nearby burglary spree and other incidents as the city council pursued bond sales and street upgrades.
