Courthouse Groundbreaking to Open County Bicentennial Event
About 100 to 1000 Collin County residents are expected at the 10 30 a m Saturday groundbreaking for a new County Courthouse and Jail in McKinney. Judge Nathan Is White Jr Plano notes possible rain while Congressman Jim Collins and Ray Roberts will speak. The event marks Collin County as an official Bicentennial County with a flag ceremony and parade en route to the site near the McKinney Public Library. The project costs 7 5 million dollars and should finish by December 15 1977.
