Names include Francis Marion Armstrong Sr in east Plano, William H L Wells in northwest Plano, William Asa Vines Sr on the west side, Frank W Jackson for Southwest Plano, Dr Dennis Miller of Murphy, Tom F Hughston in west Plano, and a seventh site honoring another pioneer. The selections reflect long ties to Plano history and local service.
The Plano Daily Star-Courier will not publish Christmas Day and New Year’s Day editions. Ad deadlines for the December 26 issue have passed. Classifieds may run in the December 27 paper by calling the Star-Courier. The December 30 deadline moves to Thursday at 5 p.m. and January 2 deadline shifts to the preceding Friday.
