Trustees split approval to advertise bids for a multi million dollar athletic stadium. Bids due January 22 1976 for a facility approved in the 1974 bond election. Schrickel Rollins and Assoc to handle the bidding process.

Clark retires as football coach to become athletic director

John Clark, head football coach of the Plano Wildcats since 1966, exits the football role to take the Plano ISD athletic director post January 1. He led nine district titles and two state crowns with a 108–17 record over ten years and also coached basketball. The district will field 141 athletic teams next year across multiple sports, in a new City School Multi-Purpose Complex on Spring Creek Parkway.

Plano ISD Dismisses Early For Christmas Holidays

Plano Independent School District will release almost 15,100 students at 2:30 p.m. Friday as Christmas holidays begin. Classes resume Monday January 5 after a 16 day break. Administrative offices open mostly during the holiday. all 18 schools closed on December 24 25 26 and January 1.

Police reported thefts of three motor vehicles and multiple items including lumber and a welder as burglars targeted Citizen Band radios. Two 10 year old boys were released to parents after malicious mischief arrests tied to a Sigler Elementary break in.
