Girl's Skeleton Identified In Collin County Homicide Case
The skeleton of 16 year old Sherrye Joyce Smith found in Blue Ridge Park near Lake Lavon is identified by dental records as the missing Dallas girl who vanished May 16 from an East Dallas apartment. Investigators say the death is a homicide caused by a .22 pistol slug as part of a wider four-body case in Collin County.

Two burglaries were reported including tape equipment from Senior High School and a TV from a University of Plano dorm. Four thefts were noted, plus 17 arrests for warrants shoplifting AWOL public intoxication and other charges.
