Jacob LaVine owner of Welsh Farms Dairy in this city died in a crossing collision Tuesday afternoon when a Jersey Central train struck the vehicle he rode in. Ignatz Rosenbaum, Flemington real estate dealer, also died in the Somerset River incident. The victims were identified as LaVine and Rosenbaum, with burial at New Brunswick following their deaths.

Brother Receives News of Death in War
Max Weintrob of 208 East Fifth Street received a telegram from Washington today announcing the death of Tatheccoee Morris Weintrob. He enlisted in New York before the war and, at eighteen, served in field artillery through two drives before his death.
