Elks Honor Father of Plainfield Lodge Founder Findlay
Funeral service for Alexander D. Findlay, dubbed father of Plainfield Lodge, was held at the Elk clubhouse on Watchung avenue. Exalted Ruler Francis J. Hints led the ceremony with a Madison minister and Plainfield Elks quartet among attendees. Findlay had died after a two year battle with cancer at age about twenty two. He built Plainfield Lodge and the Crescent clubhouse, and left behind ties to Masonic groups and local business leaders.

Fiftieth Anniversary of the M C A To Be Observed
The Millety anniversary service of the M C A will be held at First Baptist Church tonight at five. Mayor Alexander will speak at the home of the association’s organizers and Charles Ar Towson of York will deliver the address. Music will accompany the ceremony and invited guests include members of the Baptist church and ladies. The event marks fifty years of service by the M C A in Plainfield and Woodrow Wilson era support.

Woman of Five Ends Life With Rough on Rats Ingestion

Three Cent Rate For Letters Put In Operation Today

No More Conscription Examinations at Present
