James M. Baglin a longtime resident and prominent Grand Army circles member died at 8 30 PM at 516 West Fifth Street after a week of illness aged 83. He will lie in state at St Marys Church before Monday 9 AM funeral and burial at St Marys Cemetery. Born in Ireland he came to the U S at seven and lived in New York Brooklyn before moving to North Plainfield 30 years ago. A carpenter by trade he served in the Civil War with the 169th New York Volunteers and later led Winfield Scott Post as sergeant. Surviving are daughters Mrs Cornelius Guinee and Miss Margaret Baglin and son Don M Baglin all of West Fifth Street.
