Simon Chandler Fatally Wounded After Ball Game
Simon Chandler was killed after a dispute at a Plainfield versus Mooresville baseball game in Mooresville. Carl Housand of Mooresville struck Chandler with a bat. Chandler died from a fractured skull and brain hemorrhage after transport to Deaconess hospital. Housand is jailed in Morgan County pending court action. Chandler, unmarried, survived by parents, eight siblings, and served in the American army overseas.

Relative Dies at Rochester Brother of Mrs Essick
