Meade Bryant Born in Danville 1889 in Happy Memory
Horace Meade Bryant son of Woodson and Alice Bryant was born in Danville in May 1889. He married Hallie M. Tiller in Indianapolis on June 26 1912. They lived in California nine years before returning to Indiana in 1921. He died September 13 1922 after a long illness, leaving a widow four children and several siblings.

Child Dies of Scarlet Fever in Indianapolis Family
Five year old Margaret Pope daughter of Mr and Mrs Urban Pope formerly of this place died Monday at home from scarlet fever after four days illness. The body was taken to Maple Hill cemetery for a brief service by Rev A D McMurray and burial. Mrs Pope is ill with scarlet fever under quarantine and her son also suffers the disease at relatives in Danville.

At the Chamber of Commerce luncheon in the Hendrix hotel Tuesday evening members gave talks on what the chamber could and should accomplish for Plainfield. Emil Mills Dr Cooper Dr Thomas and O C Couch spoke while A L Taylor was absent. A report said 68 shares had been sold and the total may exceed 80. The next meeting will be the first Tuesday in November.
