The Friday Club hosted an Abe Martin party for members husbands at the Masonic Temple. A cafeteria supper featured fried chicken and sides served to sixty guests. Man Dies at Work From Heart Trouble
Edward Busby 35 died suddenly while unloading coal at a siding near the station Wednesday afternoon. He lived on Happy Lane Farm owned by J T Hollingsworth. Survived by wife and four children. son of Thomas Busby of Clayton. Autopsy by Dr Terrell and peers cites heart trouble as cause.

Truck Hits Pole Injuring Two Men Near town
A Hatfield Electric Co. truck from Indianapolis crashed into a telephone pole two miles east of town injuring two men. Richard Wakeman and Homer Anderson suffered serious injuries, with Wakeman having a crushed skull and Anderson a broken arm and scalp laceration. They were taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for surgery. doctors expect they will survive.
