Judgment Awarded Against Railroad Company for 7000
Cecil Rushton through his next friend Newton Rushton sued the P C C and St L Railroad Co. for 30000 damages after a December 1920 collision at Amo near Clayton. Emerson Tudor died, and Cecil Rushton spent a month in hospital after being struck while returning from a basketball game. Local residents were subpoenaed during the trial.

Two Injured In Accident On National Road
Two men were injured and two vehicles demolished in an accident on the National road near the Serum plant Tuesday. Ralph Hawkins driving a Monroe westbound swerved into a wagon and then into a Ford driven by Maurice Ellis. Both men suffered head cuts and Ellis a knee injury. Dr. Reagan’s Dodge incurred dents and Alfie Larkin caused further damage at Main and Vine streets intersection.

Mrs. Mary Parsons aged seventy one a pioneer woman of Washington township and wife of Adrian Parsons died Friday morning after years of invalidism. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon by Rev. Herbert L Huffman followed by burial at Maple Hill cemetery. Survived by husband five sons Norman Lester Gilbert Will and Chester and three daughters Mrs Evan Davis Mobile Alabama Mrs Harry White Clinton and Mrs Ben White Indianapolis.
