Missionary Conference Here May 30 31
The Western Yearly Meeting mid year missionary conference will convene at Plainfield Friends church on Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday May 30 and 31. The program lists sessions with music readings and addresses by Rev. Herbert L. Huffman Addie Christie and others plus reports from missionary boards and committee appointments. Special music by Indianapolis ladies closes the afternoon program.

Outing in Brown County CM Club Members Enjoy Weekend Trip
Members of the M. M. Club including Thelma Negus Orrell Negus Mary Havens and others spent a weekend at Miss Snipes cottage in Brown County near Nashville. They hiked four miles and rode fourteen miles over the weekend. They were joined at Sunday dinner by Mr and Mrs Jos B Prewitt Mr and Mrs Horace Henna and Chester Pike before returning home Sunday evening.

Farm man Geo Clodfelter injured hauling cow to market
Geo Clodfelter, a farmer living northeast of town, was badly hurt Saturday while moving a cow to the Indianapolis market. The unrestrained cow jumped the seat, causing two fractured ribs and severe bruises.

Arthur M. Davis has planted 195 acres of orchards including 145 acres of apples with 35 bearing. Apple varieties include Grimes Golden Stayman Delicious Golden Delicious Jonathan Wine Sap and Rome Beauty. Peaches cover a large area with J. H. Hale Alton and Alberta varieties.
