Plainfield Alumni Banquet Celebrates Class of 1922 Guests
The 22nd annual Plainfield High School Alumni Association banquet was held in the Legion rooms on a Wednesday evening with about 150 alumni and friends. Class of 1922 guests were honored. decorations featured green and white canopies, fleurs, and white tapers. Ralph Bly led the program. Randolph Cox gave the welcome. officers for the year included Miss Nona Calbert as president and Miss Mary Havens, John Hornaday as vice presidents. Music by Hoosier Harmony Hounds of Depauw accompanied dining and dancing.

Fire destroys barn at Indiana boys' school losses total
A blaze at the Indiana boys' school Saturday evening destroyed the brick barn and 40 tons of hay, burning 13 horses and seven mules as the alarm rang after 8 pm. Two students Manning and Watts, who fled the dormitory, are suspected. Firefighters aided in saving adjacent property.

Hufford in Critical Condition After Appendectomy
Harrison H. Hufford was rushed to St. Vincent's hospital Indianapolis Friday for appendicitis. He arrived in critical condition due to a ruptured appendix but the operation was successful and he is now doing as well as could be expected.
