The big community Christmas tree was erected at Main and Vine and a Saturday evening program at 6 30 will feature the Indiana Boys School band and community children. If bad weather, events move indoors with gifts of foodstuffs and confections for the 8th grade and under.

Delegates Planned for Young People Conference Noblesville

The Christian Church and Sunday School will send four delegates to the Young People's Conference in Noblesville from December 30 to January 1 under the State Sunday School Association. The delegates are Miss Frances Garriott Miss Esther Sullivan Miss Feral Harrison and Harold Cumberworth.

The Popularity Contest shows rapid vote growth with over ten thousand daily. New candidate Bulah Overton enters and takes third place while Blanche Bowman remains first and Ruth Ballard remains strong in second. Engagement Announced for Miss Emma Almond and Ben Masten

The announcement of the approaching marriage of Miss Emma Almond to Ben Masten was made at a party given by Miss Thelma Negus at her home Saturday afternoon. The wedding will be held Saturday evening at the new home at 35 North Temple Avenue, Indianapolis. Miss Negus entertained guests informally with ice cream wafers and whipped cream. Attending were Misses Cora DeWeese, Beryle Hadley, Jessie Sims, Nona Calbert, Mable Ellis, Elizabeth Pike, Mary Lucille Judd, Mary Stephens, Mary Havens, Iva Inman, plus Miss Almond and Miss Negus. Little Annette Negus assisted in entertaining.

She leaves two brothers two sisters a son and daughter in law and granddaughter.
