Boy Struck By Auto Near Main and Center Streets

Charles Taylor nine year old son of Mr and Mrs Harry Taylor was struck by an auto driven by Lawrence Cox of Washington township near dusk Tuesday while crossing Main Street. He was taken to Dr Cooper's office for examination. no serious injuries were found. Cox stayed to assist.

The Three Arts Department held its November meeting with Mrs J W Jackson and Mrs A S Miles presenting on What We Hear using Vinc trola records. Mrs Frank Hanna reviewed The Domesday Book by Edgar Lee Masters and received praise for her prepared talk. The group voted to fund a cash prize for the Music Memory contest in local schools. Refreshments were served by Mrs Jackson. The next meeting is scheduled for December 30 with Miss Iva Inman as hostess.

Louis Thompson and an unidentified man were robbed by two colored assailants as they exited an interurban car near Stop 14. Thompson lost small change while the other man lost about $16 from his purse. The attackers fled and were not captured. victims report only noting the perpetrators were colored due to darkness.
