Miss Edna Carr daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul Carr and Joseph Ham Lieu were married at the bride’s parents home Wednesday evening April 22. Only immediate family attended. The bride was an assistant librarian at Viainfield Public Library and the groom is a favored local resident.
The 26th annual P. H. S. Alumni Banquet at the high school honored Dr. Louther of Chicago who spoke on The Art of Seeing Things. The Metropolitan Trio of Indianapolis provided music. Graduates receiving diplomas included Lloyd Winsted and others. officers for next year were elected.
The notice describes Mickie telling Pete Wawprus to paint a bridge at Swanak Hollow Bridge for 62 inches with boss present. They request bringing the bridge to the house when painting is not busy. Then they mention chasing across the country reading signs on bridges and fences and cows.
Jessie Sims hosts the Three Arts Department at the library gathering. Members vote to donate to the county demonstrator Miss Norton and feature a Scotland themed program with Miss Belle Hanna's materials. Home Economics and Civics groups elect officers and plan a May picnic and a district convention in Rockville.
Local notes recount visits by Mr. and Mrs. W R Stanley to Mooresville guests of Lase Shepherd, and Dr. J C Jamison with Franklin McCray and Tex Shimer in Indianapolis. Reported injuries include George W Jessup’s fall from a wagon with back injuries improving. Fred Osborn returns to Kentucky Military School after visiting family. Burglar alarms installed at Citizens State Bank and both local banks now protected.
Edwin S Sweeney minister and Warren J Duke Bible school superintendent announce Sunday school at 9 30 a m preaching at 10 45 a m and evening services at 7 30 p m. You and yours are cordially invited to all these services.

Miss Lydia Jordan of the Red Cross nursing department will lead a Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick course at this place. The first lesson begins Monday afternoon May 3 at 3 15, with fifteen weekly sessions. The course costs one dollar per member for text and instruction will be funded by Red Cross.
The Hendricks County Guernsey Breeders Association was organized at Plainfield on April 27 with Wallace O. Mills as President Everett Pike as Vice President and Norman E. Parsons as Secretary Mills brings ten years of Purdue extension experience to the post The group aims to improve local dairy cattle and will postpone the Boys and Girls Calf Club to May 13 for federation discussion. A prospective calf class of twenty five to thirty members is anticipated.
C A Edmonson county Ford dealer begins construction on a brick and glass garage 140 by 60 feet with basement in Clayton. Located across from the existing Edmonson garage the new structure will provide a spacious up to date facility for his operations.
The Girls Baking and Sewing club organized by Miss Norton met at Rushton’s office on Wednesday afternoon with twenty girls present. The next meeting will be with Laura Cook on Wednesday May 12. Girls aged 10 to 18 are invited to join.
