Fire destroys Richardson home in Fanwood blaze
A cottage on North avenue between Terrill Road and the Fanwood station burned entirely last evening after an open grate caused a blaze that forced residents to save neighboring property. Firemen from Fanwood, Plainfield, and Scotch Plains assisted, with damage to the house and its contents about five thousand dollars.

The Emerald Bene Belal Societies of New Jersey met yesterday in Sea City on East Front Street. Delegates from Phillipsburg Lambertville Oxford Furnace Florence Burlington South Amboy and Plainfield attended. Officers elected for two years include Rev J F Brady spiritual director John C Sheehan president William Ryan vice president and T C Dinan secretary. The convention continues today with a reception planned and Florence to host the next meeting.
