An unidentified man, about sixty with a full beard, was found dead hanging by his clothes near a carriage road after a rain delay. He had traveled from Naples Italy and was named Ferroglio, a Neapolitan of Sicilian origin, living on North Avenue.
A birthday surprise was given last night for Mrs. Gustave Verline of Green Brook Road. Attendees included Mr. Sutterline, Mrs. Cuarle, Miss Kate Frey, Miss Greta Sutterline, and many neighbors and friends. Music by Pretze, Valued guests listed by surname. party hosted by local residents.

Michael Egan twenty five was found on the Cetra Rail track between there and Elmora. He was removed to Elizabeth Hospital and will die. Authorities report injuries severe after accident or foul play suspected in October incident.
The Ohio County Circuit Court case Pike vs. Trust seeks five thousand dollars in damages over alleged slander. The suit cites remarks made Wednesday evening and follows Trust being fined ten dollars in the city court yesterday for a like matter. Attorney W. S. Angieman represents plaintiff.
A peddler Charles Ob moving from Bound Brook had his wagon struck by an electric car on West Front street in front of Doane and Edsall's store. Hermans rear wagon also damaged as he tried to turn. Superintendent Adelman ordered repairs and settlement with Her ingoo for the loss.
The last night bowling scores from the Board of Trade league show Laing 174 Lester 169 Pope 151 Coward 135 and many others with Meeker and Prtrie tied at 164. Final frames pushed totals higher as Meeker rolled to 208 and Van Sickie reached 198.
The Plainfield Relief Association held its annual meeting at Crescent Avenue Church with reports from the secretary and treasurer. Officers elected included President Mrs L V F Randolph and Treasurer Mrs H P Reynolds, as well as other listed posts. A large volunteer choir organized by Rev Dr Barnes will meet at the Methodist Church for practice.
