Trial yesterday settled the case of Dr Henry Boone and Mrs Boone after a heavy wagon struck their buggy at Fourth Street and avenue. The collision injured the doctor’s rib and tore the buggy top while witnesses said the wagon could not stop in time despite attempts to slow the horses.
This morning Piichere Martin Dale of this city fell while working on the house at 218 La G avenue. A support gave way causing him to drop about eighteen feet to the ground striking his right side. Nine bones were broken and he is severely bruised and cannot work for some time. He was taken home after initial examination.
Hon. Roswell G. Horr of Park avenue mourns the death of his mother Mrs. Caroline Robinson in Wellington Ohio and his brother Charles W. Horr of that city within hours of each other. Mrs. Robinson was ninety, one of the state's oldest residents. Horr and Mrs Horr were at their bedsides. His other brother lies ill and Mrs Horr mourns her brother who recently died in a Nebraska railroad fire. The family has widespread sympathy.
A committee arranging an eight person fair met last night and discussed details. A date is not fixed but expected in early November. Bert Thateter was elected chairman Cyrus Moore secretary and H C McVoy treasurer. The group ruled out games of chance at the event.

J Henry L Niles longtime editor of the Den New Jersey Times and a noted temperance advocate died at his home 63 Walnut Street at 10 o clock yesterday morning aged 74 He was born August 18 1820 in Stockbridge Massachusetts and lived in Plainfield New Jersey before moving to Kirkwood and then to this state He leaves a widow two sons Harry and Charles and a daughter Ellen Funeral from his home Friday at 2 pm burial Floral Park Cemetery He was active in Republican circles and had planned to write for the New York Press and was a frequent contributor to The Republican The Republican paid a tribute calling him a man of sterling character and intellect Also noted Chamberlains Cough Remedy widely used in nearby Indiana for coughs and croup with retail mentions.
