Citizen's Club Meeting Reported At Local Avenue

Correspondent to Courier describes a Citizen's Club gathering held last evening at the avenue. Attendees included James Franklin, M. Bacon, A. Flynn, Sam Wilbur, C. K. Moo, and others. note of train 9:13 and Roberts' livery stable appears in the account.

Contested Frazee Lee Will Examined in Newark

Master in Chancery Herbert W. Knight continued the will case of Frazee Lee. The hermit county fortune of about 500000 is tied to Seated Plains Church and heirs contest the bequest. John Mr. Jackson, an executor, was the only witness examined yesterday.

Bicyclist Injured in Elizabeth Incident

The Elizabeth Herald reports John Miller was bicycling beside a horse and carriage when struck and knocked off his wheel. He sought treatment at a nearby drug store and returned home.

Randolph Thorn Makes an Assignment for creditors

Randolph Thorn, a well known city figure, made an assignment this morning to City Judge W R Codington for the benefit of higher editors. The largest creditors are New York business men. Thorn was forced to assign due to a large outstanding debt of about 3000 dollars.

Three Mile Footrace Results And Plans For A Five Mile Race

George Dufraine and J W Anderson ran a three mile race at Crescent rink with Anderson winning in 15 minutes 3 seconds. John Harkins judged and George Leidy refereed. They signed articles for a five mile race for 250 a side with 75 percent to the winner and 25 percent to the loser, to be held Friday night between eight and nine o'clock with a mutually agreed referee. Stakeholder David Smalley to hold $25 from each side.
