Kaiser's Land Movement Against McKinley Tariff
ASTRIA seeks united opposition to the McKinley tariff with Germany and Austria coordinating actions. Emperor William and Francis Joseph addressed troops after a grand parade near Eschholz, praising the army and the alliance. Talks with Caprivi and Kalnoky focus on reciprocity, not retaliation, while France, Austria, and Italy discussions remain tentative. The Baltic tensions with Russia spark a German protest committee against Russian influence.
