Widespread storm damage along the northern Atlantic coast reports crews lost at sea and ships wrecked near Lewes Delaware. Rescue efforts save the Kate E Morse crew while Walter F Parker perishes. The Atlanta and other vessels sustain heavy damage as pilots and lifesavers rush to aid mariners.
A sunken vessel was found on Pol lock rip shoal in Cra THam Massachusetts. It is believed to be a three masted schooner with the main mast missing.
