No Soul for Music Aldermen Move Provokes Outcry in New York
A chaotic fringe of New York street musicians resists an aldermanic measure aimed at abolishing their trade. The article notes 150 organ grinders in the city and details how many survive on meager earnings, loans, and swapping organs for better instruments.
