Contempt in Court Fines Youth for Interfering With Trial

John Henry Husmann of the Twenty first ward was fined 100 dollars for contempt of court by Judge Ewing after being found in the grand jury room talking to witnesses. He defied orders to leave and was escorted from the room and jailed until payment is made. The case arose during a theft by boy proceeding in the Criminal Court.

Trusting Eveoo Brother Cross Bill in Taylor Estate Case

John W. Taylor Jr administrator filed a cross bill against John W. Taylor and Walter G. Taylor executors of James Taylor. The suit centers on a tobacco business partnership between brothers John and James Taylor and their investments and bonds held in their names. James allegedly acted as agent and invested funds without John W. Taylor’s knowledge. The heirs of James sought the will in equity, while Taylor Jr asks that James’s bonds be declared held in trust for him and that the defendants account and pay over proceeds.

Two Boys Admit Larceny in McKeesport Theater Scheme

In Criminal Court James O Leary aged 14 and Oscar Pearson aged 17 pled guilty to larceny for taking tools to outfit a cellar theater. Judge Bejor noted the Solomon sentence precedent and sent Morpanza and Peterson to the workhouse for eight days. Mullen Sullivan and Kelley were acquitted.
