Nashville March 2 The strike among Tennessee Coal Iron and Railroad Company workers at South Pittsburg is confined to about 30 furnace men. A 100 percent raise applies to officers and salaried staff earning over 115 dollars daily, not to miners or piece workers. Furnaces remain in operation.
New York March 2 Judge Benedict of the United States Circuit Court dismissed the libel against the steamer Conserva, ruling no proof of neutrality law violation. The vessel, claimed by the Dominican Consul, will sail soon for Samana in San Domingo.
