Telegraphic update from June 24 reports General Cameron near death with consciousness intact and fading strength. Observers note his stubborn will, muttered signs of thought through his left hand, and a touching moment when a red rose sparked a brief gleam of pleasure amid decline.
Debris removal continues after the flood in Johnstown with seven bodies recovered and three identified. A large fire fueled by discarded gunpowder and carelessness caused additional damage, drawing troops and Philadelphia firemen as residents feared a second catastrophe.
The Flood Relief Commission gains secretary J B Kremer of Carlisle with headquarters set in the Supreme Court room at Haregrspure. The commission will convene this week, filling the John Fulton vacancy soon as Jersey Shore Relief Committee requests prompt aid. John Chesrown's farmhouse east of the city was set ablaze last night by incendiaries. The house hosts residents White and Holbert. the assailants remain at large, with authorities investigating possible connections to local groups割.

After examination by physicians and prison officials, the jury found her to be of unsound mind and Judge Wilson ordered her detention at the Eastern Hospital for the Insane in Norristown.
At midnight a boiler in George Renner Jr s brewery exploded killing Charles Richter engineer aged 50 and seriously injuring Carl Staltar Michael Welsh and Thomas Reynolds. The fire spread and by 1 am the blaze was out of control. Loss estimated at 75000 with insurance covering the amount.
In New Castle on June 4 Judge Hazen refused to dissolve a city injunction involving Pittsburg and Lake Erie. The order restrains actions over tracks torn up by the city, which have been restored to their former positions.
Fremont Ohio June 24 At midnight the Hayes family has not retired and some rest in chairs in the parlor. They fear the worst as they watch every symptom in hope of recovery. President and Mia Harrison sent telegrams of sympathy today.
