Beauty at a Bazaar for Fresh Air Fund in Allegheny
Carnegie Hall hosted a colorful bazaar and entertainment to benefit the Fresh Air Fund of Allegheny. Mrs Jarley wax works presented a series of dramatic tableaux while booths and tables in the central room offered candy, tea, and exquisite needlework. The event featured floral decorations, Japanese design touches, and a large bazaar with color coded tables organized by church parishes and local groups. Rebekah the Well presided over a refreshment bower as child visitors enjoyed a bubble table, fishing pond, and a candy booth amid lavish pink and green decor. The Jarley wax works performance with Miss Kate McKnight drew strong applause, supported by a cast including Miss Harriet Watson and Mr. Leonard Wales.
