The ship departed without unloading any freight for Bay St George. The vessel had left port last Tuesday for Cape Breton and Newfoundland ports.
Charles Frazier, an employee at Charles Kern's saloon, was killed after grabbing a live electric wire in the cellar. Kern touched the body in an attempt to help and was knocked senseless by a shock. He was revived.

Seven Belgian glassworkers brought to New York under contract faced a landing dispute with Cunard and U S authorities. After multiple attempts to move them by Umbria and tug, Colonel Weber ordered the men kept in U S custody and arranged for their transfer back to Liverpool aboard the Servia with lodging and sustenance arranged until departure.

Two weeks after Mrs. John Sigler and George Grazier visited Richard Austin a frail man near Blackley ville, Grazier threatened to kill him. At midnight about 50 townsfolk seized Grazier from his house and tarred and feathered him. He begged for mercy and promised to leave the county.
Mrs Cowles relentless in her bid to recover her 9 year old daughter and husband abductee Cowles. They registered at Queen's Hotel Toronto under assumed names while detectives search Montreal and Ottawa for the fugitive. The vow to press the chase continues as she heads toward Montreal by train with police wired.

They plan an August opening with a Chinese lunch counter and a living quarters for actors atop the theater. Ah Gian will start August 1 with a show running until mid September.
Curcano June 7 The Chicago and Grand Trunk Railway will cut dressed beef rates to 42 cents per hundred pounds from Chicago to Boston and New England points by way of Montreal. The move surprises and lacks Central Traffic Association approval. Three days’ notice from other lines will be needed to match the rate, following Canadian Pacific’s Chicago entry as a competitor.
The Board of Public Grounds and Buildings approved Daniel J. Shall of Chambersburg to sculpt a granite sarcophagus monument for William Denning, the Revolutionary War blacksmith and forger of wrought iron cannon. Denning’s remains lie at Big Spring Presbyterian Church in Newville. The design features a five foot cannon and a forge medallion with inscription naming the state of Pennsylvania and Denning’s birth and death years.
