Question as to Streets in Equity Case Involving Railroad Switch

A bill in equity filed by P Gallagher Edward Powers and others against Dixon Woods Co seeks an injunction to bar laying a railroad switch on Jane street Southside between Thirtieth and Thirty-first streets. The switch, it was claimed, would block access to their hillside properties. Judge Slagle heard the motion and noted the switch was being laid by the Pennsylvania Railroad Co under city authorization, not by Dixwoods Co. The city’s acceptance of a plan may affect responsibility for street issues, and the judge said he would take the papers for decision.
