Washmerton reports the Secretary of the Treasury bought 6.25 million dollars in four percent bonds at prices from 2 to 482 500 each and at 10996.
The House Rules Committee reports favorably a Cooper resolution to probe Commissioner Raum of the Pension Bureau. The charge of pressuring staff to buy refrigerator stock is deemed minor, while the broader accusation of advancing cases by attorney George E Lemon is noted as longstanding. He was found in the late afternoon badly injured and presumed dead from an attack delivered several hours earlier.
