Gusky Well Becomes Artesian Spouter For Allegheny Parks

The Gusky public park water well, drilled by A C Darrach to about 150 feet, reached artesian flow with pure mountain white pebble rock water. Completed at eight last evening, it nearly overran the casing and will inspire a second well for Strassberger & Joseph opposite Race Street. De Wolf of the Gusky stores located the site with a magnetic driving rod showing strong attraction.

Fire kerosene blast injures 17 year old girl

At about 3 in the afternoon Officer Duncan heard screams from a house on Short alley near Fifth avenue. He found Kate Davis, seventeen, crying out in pain after a kerosene lamp exploded while she attempted to light a fire. She suffered burns to her hands and face but the injuries were not serious.

The Squirrel Hill Railway Board awarded the power contract to Sprague Electric and Motor Company of New York City after thorough review. The Government architect of the United States building at Buffalo closed a contract with Marr Construction Company for elaborate wiring to incandescent light.
