In Philadelphia the Amalgamated Association appears defeated as Hughes & Patterson operate two mills with non union workers. The first mill ran for weeks, and this morning the second mill started with about 20 new workers under police protection. The firm hires competent men daily and aims to reach full capacity this week.

Policeman Palmer arrested Timothy Fitzpatrick Mike Murphy and Michael Ansher non-union workers from the Upper Union mill yesterday at the Forks of the Road. Ansher left 33rd Street works to desert for money but was denied by the Press Committee and then detained.
