Proposed German peace terms in 1918 Berlin Tageblatt excerpt

The piece quotes Count Von Roon outlining a harsh German peace plan including continued submarine warfare, annexation of Belgian territory, cession of coasts, control of Brieg and Longwy basins, Verdun, and colonies, plus indemnities and naval domination. It contrasts this with reflections on John Paul Jones and British resolve, warning that the German shield masks a brutal program. It ends by questioning Von Roon’s character and Germany’s penchant for imposing terms.

Kaiser as 'Superior Man' or Mean Fellow in Chinese Critique

The student cites past emperors who burned books and toppled civilizations but notes such methods failed. He argues the Kaiser seeks to enslave peoples, destroy literature and ships, and harm the Allies, yet will fail.
