Tuesday's gymkhana drew a big crowd as several new events joined the lively program. Riders battled in doughnut, clothes pin, and bean carrying contests with nerve and skill, while onlookers enjoyed the humorous and spirited side shows and track events concluding with the lance and ring race.

David Fleming Jr of Philadelphia defeated TS Lippy of Seattle four up with three to play to win the Tin Whistles annual club championship. West Tainter of New York took the consolation from T R Newbold of Washington, Sup. F G Dodd of Zanesville won the second division by 3 and 2 over W L Hurd of Pittsburg, and B Cotter of Winchester beat Philip Lightbourn of Bermuda 1 up in the consolation. In qualifying Becker led with 79, Fleming 81, J D Foot 84. First round results included Creamer over Johnson 6 up, Lippy over Tainter 2 up, Pierce over Ormsbee 2 and 1, Foot over Dutton 1 up, Hurd over Sheaff by default, Fleming over Bailey 1 up, Gardiner over Head 6 and 5, Becker over Newbold 3 and 2.
