Pinehurst Resort described as ideal year round village
The late James W. Tufts created Pinehurst as a premier fall winter and spring resort with three 18 hole courses and a nine hole course. It offers trap shooting tennis and golf championships, ample lodging from The Carolina to The Holly Inn, extensive facilities including a dairy creamery store and utilities, and rail access from New York with through Pullman service. Consumptives are excluded.
