A very pleasant musicale was held at the Berkshire last Wednesday evening directed by Dr. Hersey. The crowded parlors featured piano duets by Misses Clark and Lindsey, piano solos by Miss Clark and Miss Lindsey, violin and auto harp solos by Miss Clark with Mrs Heyward. Dr Jer sey urged Judge Sample to perform a baritone and whistle solo, but he declined claiming jealousy from the doctor. The entertainment was greatly enjoyed by all present.
The Pinehurst match play event began Friday March 10 with sixteen contestants including Rol ling Prescott Dutton Bryant Waldridge Waters Marrow Dr Plarve Tufts Bradford Macgregor Hipkins Pharre Whiting. Dutton won 5 up and 4 to play against Prescott and later tied 97 in another round, setting a best yet record as Dutton, Treadway and Macgregor posted close scores while bunkers are being remodeled under Mr Tucker.
