Whitlatch Defeats Purves in Championship Match Play

In the Advertising Golf Tournament Whitlatch of Oakland Club beat R M Purves of Woodland on the seventeenth green three up with one to play. The event showcased men and mixed formats across three handicap classes and multiple trophies, culminating in a week of ideal weather and spirited competition.

Tin Whistles Elimination Contest Draws Narrow Win

J. G. Nicholson with an allowance of twelve and R. G. Shaw deducting one stroke tied for second behind leader Robert Hunter who finished with fifteen in Monday's Tin Whistle Swattest elimination. The rest of the field followed in order with scores ranging from six to twenty four.
